Scientific Biography: My research focuses on Jewish-Indian women’s contemporary literature written in English, and examines the ways in which its personal accounts mirror the history of a specific minority community in India, its disintegration and its afterlives. The dissertation explores the use of auto/biographical genres, such as memoir, life-writing and autofiction in the corpus, as well as its gendered and postcolonial implications. This intersectional point of view – literary, feminine, diasporic – challenges existing Jewish-Indian historiographies and proposes new critical approaches to literature centred on Jewish diasporic living.
