Scientific biography: I received my Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. In addition to researching poetry, poetics, and biblical reception, I am also a poet and translator. My work has appeared in Guernica, World Literature Today, and LA Review of Books. With Adriana X. Jacobs, I co-translated Women’s Hebrew Poetry on American Shores (Wayne State University Press, 2016). I am currently completing a book titled The Poetics of Prophecy: Reinventing A Biblical Figure for the Modern Era. My next project is tentatively titled, “I Will Walk with My Song Torn Open”: Revising Prophecy in 20th Century American Women’s Poetry.
